William D. Yates, M.D., D. American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery, F.A.C.S., Kansas City
Dr. Yates is board certified by the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery, by the American College of Surgeons and by the American Society of Bariatric Surgery. He received his B.A. in Medical Science from Northwestern University, Illinois in 1983. In 1985 he also received his M.D. from Northwestern University as a participant in the six year Honors Program in Medical Education. He completed his surgical internship at Howard University Hospital, Washington, D.C. in 1986 and his General Surgery residency also at Howard University Hospital in 1990. Dr. Yates completed his Fellowship in Critical Care/Trauma at University of Maryland Hospital in 1991.
Dr. Yates has had a long, distinguished career. From 1991 to 2001 Dr. Yates was in private practice with General Surgery and Trauma Associates in St. Louis, MO. In 2002 he was in private practice as a General & Trauma Surgeon at Crossroads Hospital, Mt. Vernon, Illinois. From 2003 to present, Dr. Yates was a Staff Surgeon in General Surgery at Lovelace Medical Center, Albuquerque, New Mexico and was affiliated with Albuquerque Regional Medical Center and West Mesa Medical Center in New Mexico.
He has made many presentations and has numerous publications during his medical career including the Journal of the National Medical Association, the Journal of Trauma, the DePaul Medical Center in Bridgeton Missouri, and the Christian Hospital NE in St. Louis, Missouri.
Dr. Yates is a member of the American Medical Society; a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and The American Society of Bariatric Surgery, as well as being a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine. He is married to Laure, also a physician in family practice and together they have four children. His hobbies include jazz and classical piano, hockey, basketball, tennis and golf.
Dr. Yates received extensive training at Bosley Beverly Hills and is licensed to practice medicine in California, New York, Virginia, New Mexico, Illinois, Missouri, and Michigan.
